The Primus School of Management
Studies Library has established a strong reputation for upholding high academic
standards. Serving as the institution's intellectual hub, the Library and
Information Centre caters to the educational and research needs of students,
faculty, and researchers across undergraduate and postgraduate programs in
science, social science, humanities, and management.
As one of the key pillars supporting
the institution’s academic excellence, the library has evolved into a centre of
excellence by embracing advancements in information and communication
technologies. It houses an extensive collection of over 1,000 books, CDs, DVDs,
and subscriptions to the latest journals and periodicals.
The library actively participates in
UGC’s INFLIBNET and INFONET initiatives, ensuring users have access to a
wide range of digital resources, research support services, and network-based
academic information.
Objectives
The Library and Information Centre
functions as an integral part of the Primus School of Management Studies. Its
primary objectives are:
- To develop a comprehensive and up-to-date
collection of books, reports, Management journals, and other non-book
materials relevant to the disciplines taught and researched at the
institution.
- To systematically organise both conventional
and digital information resources to ensure efficient and timely access
for all users.
- To disseminate information through
documentation lists and current awareness services, enabling teachers and
researchers to stay informed about the latest developments in their
respective fields.
- To provide additional services such as
compiling current and retrospective bibliographies, arranging photocopies,
and procuring preprints, reprints, and other reference materials.
- To adopt information technology and computer
applications for fast and effective information storage, retrieval, and
access.
- To participate in resource-sharing
initiatives, including NDL and e-PG Pathshala, for the benefit of users.
- To serve as an information hub supporting all departments of the institution.

Electronic Resources
The Primus School of Management
Studies Library & Information Centre hosts a dedicated Library Server
running ……. Through the Digital Library platform, users can access a wide range
of institutional content and library collections available in digital formats.
The library has built a substantial
repository of electronic resources, including CD-ROMs, audio cassettes, and
other digital materials. In addition, it provides access to e-journals,
e-databases, abstracts, and indexes through the UGC-INFONET E-Consortia
Programme, ensuring seamless access for students, faculty, and researchers to high-quality academic information.
